This is a very nice campground with spacious sites, lots of activities, a great new pool area and clean bathrooms. However, they are very strict with rules and will nickel and dime you for everything. Extra car? There's a fee. Extra people? There's a fee. Even a root beer float at one of the listed events will cost you $1.75 with tax for a treat. They did escort us to our site which was nice and overall the staff was pleasant. We probably wouldn't stay here again due to how expensive it was for the weekend.

We were a little wary of staying at this campground due to some of the reviews posted. I'm so glad that we decided to stay. We had a great site close to the bathrooms, pool, playground and office. The bathrooms were very clean in the morning but showed some wear and tear by the evening. Staff were there 1-2 times a day cleaning the bathrooms. There is a bus that will take you to the boardwalk and beach which is nice because parking there can be difficult. They offered some activities but we didn't know what they were because they didn't give you a list at check-in. But who needs those when you have so much to do in the area. The pool area was nice and they had a great playground with a huge pirate ship to play on. Be aware, though, that they only accept cash at check-in. There were some downsides to this campground. There are some sites that are not very nice and we would have been unhappy had we been assigned to them. Also, some of the seasonal campers look pretty bad and are in need of repair and a good cleaning. However, we would stay here again.

We stayed here over July 4 weekend so it was busy but that did not have any effect on the issues that I had with this campground. First, the showers were freezing cold. We tried using them at different times and they were always cold. Not a drop of hot water in the men's or women's bathroom. Also, there aren't enough bathrooms in this campground. We stayed in a travel trailer and the closest bathroom was a far walk. It was easier to drive to the bathrooms. Our site was also very difficult to pull into as we had small trees lining the site. Campsites are small and close together. We will not be staying here again.

We wanted to go somewhere new over the Memorial Day weekend and decided on the Raystown Lake area. Since the state parks were full we booked a site at Heritage Cove. I had two major issues with this campground. First, there weren't enough restrooms and our site was not close to the facilities. There was a path from our site that was a quick walk to the restrooms but it went right through the person's site on the other side of the path. After a day of everyone cutting through their campsite to get to the restrooms they asked my husband if there wasn't a bathroom closer to the sites in our area. There wasn't and we were uncomfortable cutting through so we had to walk a long way around on the road to get to the restrooms. My second gripe with this place is that the sites were extremely close together. Our campfire ring was extremely close to the camper next to us. For how much you pay to stay here it just isn't worth it. We drove through the state parks and found that they were more spacious, just as clean and much closer to the action. We would not stay here again.

On their website they say that this is "Family camping in a peaceful country setting." I have to agree with that 100%. This is a nice, friendly, family campground. This is on Plum Creek so there is fishing and it is located about 20 minutes from Indiana, PA where there are shops and restaurants. The heated bathrooms are clean and close to all of the sites. There is also a nice, large playground and a "tot lot" for the toddlers. The arcade is dated but fun.
